Microsoft recently released a new software installer to help make the task of deploying updated copies of Office 2016 for Mac admins a lot easier. This new installer is available along with the latest Office 2016 volume license installer and is named MicrosoftOffice2016VLSerializer.pkg. If you have a Volume License and want to install Office 2019, you’ll need to download the Microsoft Office 2019 for Mac installation package. Next, you’ll need to download or run the MicrosoftOffice2019VLSerializer.pkg file to activate Office 2019 with your Volume License.

  • Volume License Serializer not working in Catalina I did a clean install of Catalina on a computer at work, ran the 16.16.12 installer for Office 2016 and the Volume License Serializer. Office is not activated and asks for a key.
